History<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n The history of one of the world\u2019s most famous football clubs, Juventus dates back to the 1800s in Turin.<\/p>\n\n\n\n As wealth grew with local merchants and their new found success abroad, so too did it\u2019s love for sports; creating what was called Sport-club Juventus.<\/p>\n\n\n\n The black and white strips now associated primarily with Juventus was first worn by Notts County, an English football club.<\/p>\n\n\n\n At the turn of the 20th century, Juventus needed to replace their worn out pink shirts.<\/p>\n\n\n\n A player from England was asked to be in charge and he soon realized that what was delivered had a similar design and colors as what Notts County was using at that time.<\/p>\n\n\n\n The Fiat Corporation was one of the premier companies in Italy during this time period.<\/p>\n\n\n\n The people from southern Italy moved to Turin for work opportunities and as a result, their hometown became an industrial town, with football teams historically doing well.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Even though Juventus has spent most of its history in Serie A, there were a few years when they left. The relation between Juventus and their dynasty is one of continuity.<\/p>\n\n\n\n With many members having served as either board members or presidents for decades at a time.<\/p>\n\n\n\n In November 2023, the entire board of Juventus Football Club stepped down amidst a brewing scandal. The Italian government had launched an investigation into allegations that some members of Juventus\u2019 first team were paid off the books during the peak of the Covid-19 pandemic.<\/p>\n\n\n\n As the investigation unfolded, more information came to light. CONSOB, the Italian securities market regulator, uncovered that several players had supposedly agreed to salary cuts to support the club during that challenging time. However, it was alleged that they were secretly compensated \u201cunder the table.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n This led to the resignation of key figures, including club President Andrea Agnelli, Vice-President Pavel Nedved, and CEO Maurizio Arrivabene.
